The first five pictures are from my birthday dinner at The Sugar Factory. That was my second time eating at this restaurant chain. The first was many years ago in the Meatpacking District in New York. That location, I don’t believe is there anymore. But other locations have popped up since.

I did the most with the accessories and I’m still okay with that.

I was pretty much on a mocktail kick from the start of the new year, back in January, but I did get a drink during this outing.

Some gifts I got which was so nice! I got a pair of earrings, a Sephora gift card, a portfolio to put my published articles in, and Julia Fox’s memoir Down the Drain (that I’ve got to finish reading!)
I added my bag, lip balms and ring for more vibes!

And the dessert I ordered, I couldn’t even finish! But at least I made sure to not get an entree, because nooooo! The Sugar Factory is best for desserts and drinks. The others got dinner, and for the most part, the food was alright. But hence the name, stick with the confectionary options!

A page from Natasha Brown’s fantastic novella Assembly. This quote certainly touched me because I’ve done this even in the quiet presence of me, myself and I.

The bare bones of what was left of New England Comics in Brookline Village. I’m so sad I missed the last few days the store was opened. I used to get my Archie Comics here as a kid.
It’s always sad to see a bookstore go.

I forgot where I as going when I did this look! I doubt I went anywhere really. But I wanted to do something fun with makeup. Kind of in a face gem era.

This is a shot of when the late Sinead O’Connor performed on Saturday Night Live on October 3, 1992. I read (listened via audiobook) her memoir Rememberings and, in addition to sharing her experience on set that day and the aftermath of her ripping a photo of the Pope (justified). O’Connor also shared that the white dress she wore that night once belonged to fellow singer Sade and that she had bought it at an auction in 1985. When I tell you I gasped a bit because I could not have predicted that fun fact coming as she spoke!
