Summer was amazing and I’m so thankful. ❤ It was everything I needed it to be. Great people. Fun times. Trips. Concerts. YA fiction and graphic novels. Too many lattes.

Memories, with some nostalgia, were made.

I’ve shared some of July in earlier posts! Time to showcase August and September!

“Purpose” was incredible!!! Whew those awards were well-deserved!!!
New Edition Day! In honor of the boy band now group getting a street named in their honor in Roxbury, a neighborhood in Boston, MA. It was so good seeing the community to show support for our hometown icons! (And of course, we gotta shout out Washington, D.C. for giving us Johnny. Gill!)
Such a good mural at this cafe!
When we got to Cafe Kitsune, it was confirmed it was closing in the coming days. I was annoyed by that because they had already closed the West Village one in Manhattan, and I thought the Brooklyn location was going to stay open. Enter my sad face.
He ended up buying this windbreaker with gorgeous embroidery and the jacket’s tag from 28 years ago was still attached! (That’s one of the employees of the fab Brooklyn vintage store we were at holding it up! He had helped us bring it down from the top shelf).
Freakier Friday was so great and I for sure teared up towards the end. Seeing this and the reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer meant a lot to me! Love seeing my girly pops back in pop culture! This is like summer when I dragged my friend to see Trap with me because it starred Josh Harnett!
The Wiz on stage! Stunning, comedic, and touching!
The way these companies know how to get my money!!
Four stars! (And that latte was delish!)

And I started a Substack!
