No need for much of an intro, but we’ll give you the head ups anyway in that earlier today Deadline published their most controversial article yet when they co-signed Nellie Andreeva asking if the rise of Black-led and people of color shows like How to Get Away with Murder, Black-ish, Fresh Off the Boat and the utter smash, runaway hit of Empire was taking away from White actors getting roles. It was disrespectful, unnecessary (after years of Hollywood’s notorious institutionalized racism) and because it prompted such a high social media response, Twitter then birthed the hashtags #DeadlineHeadlines and #DeadlineReviews.
