While some objected to actress Zoe Saldana’s secret garden dress by Prabal Gurung for the 2014 Golden Globes, I actually really liked it, as well as the whole ensemble. Her bun looked effortlessly slick, and even the addition of solid colored pastel pink pumps were a nod to minimalist glamour. My only complaint? It should’ve been a little bit longer maybe. I didn’t find the hemline awkward or ill-fitting, but possibly it would’ve been translated better as a best dress contender if it was floor-length (but minus a train, of course). Saldana’s Gurung vaguely reminded me of a sweetly gothic and flower adorned print Cate Blanchett wore to the 1999 Oscars by then creative director John Galliano.
