Former Oscar Nominee Jessica Chastain Takes A Stand For Diversity At The Critics’ Choice Awards + Watch FKA Twigs’ Feminist Bondage On “Pendulum” + Reading Rainbow Honors MLK [VIDEOS]

While accepting her special MVP Award At The Critics’ Choice Awards last night, two-time Academy Award nominee (The Help, Zero Dark ThirtyJessica Chastain spoke towards the end of her acceptance speech about standing against any “homophobic, sexist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic and racist agendas” in Hollywood filmmaking. Her acknowledgment arrives two days after the Oscars shockingly and virtually omitted Selma from most of the major categories including Best Director for Ava DuVernay and David Oyelowo for Best Actor, and the media are wondering if that was what inspired Chastain to speak up.

And any cynics, please step aside! At least someone is saying something. The Oscars virtually passing Selma except for two categories remains unbelievable!

“Pendulum” is the third video of FKA Twigs‘ album LP1. While there are some very intriguing interplay with hair and bondage, it’s still an intensely intimate song and presentation about romance. Check out the uncredited ode to Busta Rhymes and Janet Jackson’s “What’s It Gonna Be?” video from 1999 too when Twigs is submerged in silver liquid. And she directed the video herself. Awesome.

You know we gotta tribute the late great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as yesterday would’ve been his 86th birthday! Today, I found a video of the LeVar Burton of Reading Rainbow introducing a children’s book on the legend. God Bless
