Tinashe, on her Instagram page, posted a picture of her from the official radio bar red carpet of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Her houndstooth dress is a vintage Azzedine Alaia from 1991. But it was also extremely similar to an outfit Jennifer Lopez wore twelve years before on her second cover of the (then) print edition of VIBE magazine back in 2003.

So technically Tinashe, or better yet Alaia was first! J-to-tha-L-O just memorably bodied such a mod style!
