I watched Silver Linings Playbook last night and The White Stripes’ “Fell In Love With a Girl” was played in the film. I totally forgot about it and have had it stuck in my head since!

I recently was browsing through last year’s September issue from Marie Claire (with Blake Lively on the cover). Their Fall Fashion included a feature on M.A.C Cosmetics’ then upcoming Rizzoli coffee table book Miles of M.A.C. (out now!) At the end of the piece, written by Hannah Morrill, she quoted the brand’s creative director James Gager, who had this to say about their impact on everyday women:

We like to take the pressure off women to conform. There’s nothing fun-or beautiful-about being like everyone else.
