Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States, has been the face of the $20 bill since 1928. 87 years later, a women’s group called WomenOn20 are waging an interesting battle to give the bill a new, empowering look! WomenOn20 want to see a historic and significant woman on the bill and have listed fifteen heroines for the Obama administration to consider, including Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks.
It sounds a bit sudden or random, but there is some math to WomenOn20’s logic to change the all-boys club of currency.
