#ChristmasClassics ’70s/’80s Specials for A Nostalgic Christmas

Ahhhh….Christmas. That special time of year where even the most stoic individual might feel a little warm and fuzzy inside. This may be especially true if the Holidays bring about memories of your childhood. If you were a kid before the iPod age especially, Christmas specials were the second greatest thing about December. Some of those specials still air today such as A Charlie Brown Christmas, the films A Christmas Story and It’s A Wonderful Life, and those classic tales re-imagined in stop-motion animation such as Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town and Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer.

While new classics for this season have been inducted like Home Alone and Elf (I also got a soft spot for Arthur’s Perfect Christmas), there are still lots of specials from yesteryear to rediscover. Below are some of those Chrismas specials that no matter what you celebrate, will evoke thoughts of hope, love, faith, and some great laughs. If you got any younger siblings, cousins, and babies around, press play and have them watch along. They’re sure to be amused by the old school charm of these #ChristmasClassics
